Gosh!

I really need to remember to update this thing! I have recently bought some amazing things this weekend and they've been so cheap!! I love it!! I went to the op shop yesterday and I found some absolute great finds! Which is actually quite rare for Gold Coast op shops because everything is usually from the 90s or very oversized!! But, this time, I found myself a couple of tops (one was $1 and one was $3.25!!) and this fantastic dress for only $3.75!! (please excuse the not so good mobile camera photo)

And today, I bought a wonderful cardigan just from a store ($14.95 brand new) and I managed to get a 50s style dress from Target for only $13.00!!! It has some make up on it from someone trying it on but nothing a wash can't fix! And last but not least, I bought a wonderful pair of vintage high waisted shorts (in the colour mint) off etsy for only $22 shipped! Overall I think I have had a relatively cheap weekend considering alot of the items I purchased could have been double the price normally!!

It's been awhile!

Indeed it has been awhile! I think it's time to update! 

Not too much has happened unfortunately, other than spending abit too much money!

I ended up purchasing that skirt and jacket that I recently mentioned in my other post. I was so excited to receive it but when I tried it on, it just didn't fit properly :( Very sad moment for me!

Although, I have just purchased something I am sure is going to fit as I check measured myself this time around. I have been watching alot of Mad Men lately, and I am just in love with Betty Draper's clothing sense! So when I saw this, I fell in love!!

 

I can't wait to wear it as I don't have anything really nice to sleep in at this current time (not as lovely as this anyway).

Also, yesterday I went to a car show and vintage swap/trade market. It's apparently been going on annually for 12 years in the same place, but I have never heard of it until now. Very poor advertising, but I must say, it wasn't even worth the $3 to get into a public park. Everything that was for sale was stupidly priced because it was 'vintage' and there just wasn't that much to look at except for the very few nice cars that were there. It just made me appreciate the Wintersun that much more!! Speaking of which, Wintersun is coming up very soon and I am so excited!!! Such a fantastic day filled with wonderful vintage cars, sunshine and amazing people from all around Australia (well, hopefully sunshine!). Oh my!

I just found the most perfect outfit!!! Definitely reminds me of Bettie Page. It's my size and I'm still deciding whether or not to get it. I think I need a 3rd job! Yes, that's right, a THIRD job! Or I could just learn to sew it myself... I made a cute little apron last night (which I will post about later today). I just hope no one snaps it up before I decide to get it. Well, the outfit is still a good price for US$68.00, considering most things these days are triple the price as soon as you put the word "vintage" in front of the description!

Oh! I am absolutely in love with this brand! I cannot wait to go to London just to visit the gorgeous little boutique!! I wish we had things like this is Australia. It's so hard to find good stores here and there are just so many good ones overseas! But buying online can often be a pain in the butt (with exchange rates and postage is often through the roof)! I do plan to definitely save some money and just splurge  - which isn't very hard to do because everything they sell is just amazing and of the best standard!

Definitely making London a part of my honeymoon with my fiancee. We are going all around the world almost now. haha I just hope we are going to be able to afford it all!

I am currently on the hunt for a vintage suit case!! I have a few I'm looking at on ebay and etsy but there is just so many to choose from!! Also don't know what my budget is on getting one but unfortunately you can't really always have a budget buying vintage stuff. You'll ALWAYS blow it! Well I always do because I just simply cannot help myself.. some things are just so amazing!!

Hello there!

Well, this is my very first post! I'm not too sure how long I'll have this blog or if i will keep posting but for now I will just try to add what I can.

Today was fantastic! My gorgeous fiancee and I went out for coffee this morning then headed into Miami for some amazing vintage gloves I've been eyeing out at an antique store. Very nice, although just needs a good napisan wash for the yellowing due to old age. I didn't even manage to make it out the door without buying this gorgeous clutch purse as well. So cheap too! Both for $30.00!
